2020 INFINITI QX80 vs. Nissan Armada | Edinburg, TX
Are you in search of a massive, powerful SUV that can accommodate a growing family and tow even the heaviest of loads for your next vacation? The 2020 INFINITI QX80 is one of the most luxurious options on the market, giving the famous Cadillac Escalade a run for its money. The QX80 is also commonly compared to the 2020 Nissan Armada, but if you examine the two together, it’s clear that the INFINITI QX80 is in a league of its own.
Under the hood
The 2020 QX80 features a tremendous 5.6-liter DOHC V8 engine that allows for 8,500 pounds of towing capacity when properly equipped and pumps out 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. While the 5.6-liter direct injection gasoline V8 engine in the 2020 Armada can match the INFINITI QX80 model’s in terms of towing, it falls short in horsepower and torque, delivering just 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft, respectively.
A leader in efficiency
Despite offering more power, the 2020 INFINITI QX80 is also more efficient than the 2020 Nissan Armada. The Armada maxes out at 19 mpg on the highway while the QX80 achieves up to 20 mpg on the highway.*
Warranty
INFINITI also offers a superior warranty for the QX80. Its basic warranty extends for four years or 60,000 miles. The warranty for the Nissan Armada expires after three years or 36,000 miles.
An audio expert
The premium Bose® audio system in the INFINITI QX80 includes 17 available speakers, expertly positioned throughout the cabin. While the Nissan Armada does also offer a Bose® sound system, it tops out at only 13 speakers (the minimum amount offered in the QX80).
Safety
Both the 2020 INFINITI QX80 and the 2020 Nissan Armada excel in terms of safety. For the QX80, you can expect standard safety and driver assistance tech like Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning, and Backup Collision Intervention.
